Project running

The project has three main phases. The first phase, the Definition and Planning Phase, consists of analysing and defining the requirements and time schedule afterwards.

In the Conception and Development Phase, we use different methods to create, validate and obtain the optimal solution for our problem.

The optimal solution will then be worked out during the Design Phase by taking into account ergonomic and safety related aspects and finally a functional system is constructed. Besides the preparing of manufacturing drawings it was the task to design the pneumatic and electrical components for the feed device, which was programmed by our team. This included the preparing of a risk analysis and operating and assembly instructions.

Summary and view

The constructed device enables the stakeholder to identify the wear and failure appearances at the sensors and actuators of the milking module. The determination of the sand deposit areas in the system, in order to redesign components if necessary, is possible with the device too.
